Tekir has operated as Davie’s comprehensive communications and public affairs partner in Finland since the beginning of 2023, when Davie acquired Helsinki Shipyard’s business operations. The client’s goal was a smooth market entry into Finland and the nationally significant maritime sector, both of which were achieved. Davie was highly successful in building awareness and relationships with decision-makers. The acquisition process was praised by officials from both the Canadian and Finnish governments. Since then, Tekir has also supported Davie in other business arrangements—such as in summer 2025, when it acquired Mäntyluoto Shipyard from Enersense Plc.

During the collaboration, Tekir has helped build Davie’s local media relations and raise awareness for both Helsinki Shipyard and Davie. PR and media work have achieved many successes, including extensive coverage and improvements in the company’s reputation and recognition. Thanks to systematic media work, the client has gained visibility ranging from national media to international news outlets. In addition to media work, the cooperation has included organising several successful events and implementing financial and investor communications.

The work is based on continuous scenario planning for risks and opportunities, which guides the strategic approach to societal communications. Scenario planning has also been part of ongoing communications contingency planning and reputation management. Tekir’s team’s broad understanding of the industry, independent identification of media targets and opportunities, and analytical approach to reputation management ensure smooth societal communications for the client.
