Tornator is a leading European company specialised in sustainable forest management. Tekir organized a crisis communication simulation exercise for Tornator’s management and experts in January 2025.

A similar exercise had last been conducted a few years earlier, and the company recognized the need to refresh and reinforce the lessons learned.
The exercise began with an introduction led by Tekir, using examples to illustrate how communication can either resolve or escalate a crisis situation. After the briefing, the actual simulation phase started. Participants were presented with a tailored crisis scenario that the group worked to resolve. The exercise included media and stakeholder inquiries, media interviews, and articles drafted based on those interviews.
The simulation was highly successful, and throughout the day, clear strengths as well as areas for improvement in leadership and communication processes were identified.
The simulation exercise was an excellent way to strengthen our organization’s ability to handle demanding situations that are bound to arise. The well-designed case and its smooth execution provided valuable insights and practical tools for effective communication.
