
Oulun Energia is one of the biggest energy companies in Finland, operating mainly in the region of Oulu. Oulun Energia sought to improve and harmonize the management and implementation of internal communications at the group level. We created an internal communications model that strengthens the company’s ability to adapt to change and lead effectively in a shifting market and operating environment.

Oulun Energia sought to improve and harmonize the management and execution of internal communication across the entire group.
In collaboration with Oulun Energia’s communications team and with active involvement from company leadership, Tekir developed a comprehensive internal communication model. This model not only defined principles and practices but also guided the selection and implementation of internal communication channels. To support adoption, Tekir produced a practical guide for management, which also serves as training material for internal communication.
Tekir worked closely with Oulun Energia’s leadership to review the model and provide coaching on its implementation and ongoing development. Management involvement was designed to be time-efficient and focused on previously identified needs. Throughout the project, Tekir ensured facilitation that engaged leadership while addressing the needs of their teams.
Improving internal communication is a powerful way to strengthen leadership and organizational culture – and success depends on a skilled and proactive team. The smooth progress of this project was driven by Tekir’s strong project management and close collaboration with Oulun Energia’s communications team.
